During the 28th International Conference, held from 25 to 29 May in Wuppertal (Germany), our alumno Yannik Zeiträg was awarded the MCDM Doctoral Dissertation Award, which recognises the best doctoral thesis in the field of ‘Multiple Criteria Decision Making’.

This prize, established in 2011 by the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making and presented every two years, aims to recognise the most significant research in this field.

Yannik Zeiträg began his studies at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2020, on the Doctoral Programme in Engineering and Management, and defended his thesis in 2025. Supervised by Prof. José Rui Figueira, his work, entitled ‘A Decision Support Tool for Multi-Objective Production Scheduling and Lot-sizing: Exact, Approximate, and Hybrid Algorithms’, sees its significance for academia further enhanced by this award.
