About
The Department of Engineering and Management (DEG) explores three main streams: teaching, research and providing services in the fields of Management, Economics, and Engineering and Industrial Management on two scientific areas: Systems Engineering and Management, and Engineering and Management of Organizations. On its teaching activities, DEG focuses on offering courses on subjects of Economics and Management to students of other departments, as well as offering specific courses related to its scientific areas at both graduation and post-graduation level. As for research, DEG's scientific contribution is developed within CEGIST, Center for Management Studies and IN+, Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research. On its efforts to be close to the business community, DEG promotes several seminars with national and international researchers, and its faculty and researchers do consulting with the business and professional market.

The Facilities
The Alameda campus is located in one of the most central areas of Lisbon, benefiting from the public transport network, which facilitates mobility to all areas of the city. In its vicinity there are numerous commercial, leisure, culture, entertainment and sports spaces.
This modern campus, opened in 2000, is located in the municipality of Oeiras and is part of Taguspark – Science and Technology Park, one of the most important technological centers in the country, especially in the area of Information and Communication Technologies.
