MOOC Técnico “Regulation of Health Technologies”
We are pleased to share the launch of the MOOC "Regulation of Health Technologies".
Being the result of a partnership between Técnico and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and the collaboration of experts working in industry, regulatory agencies and academia, this MOOC introduces participants to key concepts and methods, and current topics and challenges in the regulation of diverse and emerging health technologies and products.
During the course, the contents are open and each participant follows the course at their own pace. In the end participants are expected to have developed an understanding of the key concepts, methods, and challenges related to the regulation of diverse and emerging health technologies and products.
This MOOC is divided into five modules:
- What is health regulation?
- Regulation of different Health Technology Assessment techniques.
- Safety, efficacy and monitoring, and evidence-based medicine.
- Evaluation of health technologies.
- Ethics and global trends in health regulation.
Registration in the MOOC is free, but subject to a limited number of vacancies. The course is taught in English, fully online, and takes place in the following periods:
