Diana Jorge's research and teaching expertise lies in transport and logistics, where she utilizes operational research models and simulations. She has participated in research projects aimed at optimizing the allocation of slots at congested airports and optimizing routes considering economic, social, and environmental factors.

Diana Jorge has long aspired to become an Assistant Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico and join its “talented and extensive team of collaborators”. When asked about what a career at IST means to her, she expressed her desire to “make significant contributions to the school's success by imparting academic and practical knowledge that will enable students to deal with current and future problems in the most satisfactory way possible”

She enjoys traveling, allowing her to broaden her cultural horizons and meet diverse and multiple perspectives.
