Professor Eduardo Costa’s research interests focus on Health Economics, with particular attention to the financing of health systems, human resources in health, and dynamics of competition and innovation in the pharmaceutical market, having integrated research projects on these topics in national and foreign universities (such as Harvard School of Public Health and Boston University). He is the President of the Portuguese Association of Health Economics, an Infarmed Health Technology Evaluation Commission expert, and a member of the National Commission for Reference Centers of the SNS (our National Healthy System).
Eduardo Costa has also taught in the areas of Economics and themes related to Health Policy, in different institutions. In this context, he joins the DEG, lecturing the courses of the Introduction to Economics and Economics disciplines.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, long walks, and cooking for friends.
