"Teaching is mainly learning, gaining, and constantly deepening my knowledge," says Inês Nunes regarding her lecturing experience. As she taught Economics at IST, she “cannot be indifferent to new students and to a new global context” thus her research is inseparable from what she teaches.

As a researcher, she is interested in the interaction between energy transition and sustainable economic growth, inequality, poverty, or technological progress. She is currently a co-principal investigator (CO- PI) in the CHARADE project - for Energy Access in a Decarbonized Economy.

For Inês Nunes, "the fact that the Instituto Superior Técnico promotes excellence teaching, attracts ambitious students with high plans for the future, which leads them to think beyond theory, give them a critical thinking which enables them to contribute to innovation and technological progress."

She loves to reinvent Asian dishes and explore new ingredients.
