IST researchers (professors Henrique Oliveira, Rogério Colaço, José Rui Figueira (DEG) and professor Ana Paula Serro), in collaboration with the Ordem dos Médicos, develop a new “Indicator for evaluating the state of the pandemic and its global impact on health” , which continues to take into account the activity of the pandemic considered in the matrix currently used, based on incidence and transmissibility (Rt), but also encompasses the severity of the disease, determined as a function of lethality, hospital admissions and intensive care.
