“Their exceptional work truly exemplifies innovation and expertise in the field of decision analysis. It's a testament to their dedication and the impact of their research.”- It was like this that the Society of Decision Professionals (SDP) announced that Professors Mónica Oliveira, Carlos Bana and Costa and Ana Vieira were the winners of the 2023 Decision Analysis Practice Award. The ceremony took place on October 11 in Phoenix city, in Arizona state.

It is important to recall that the project "Fostering participation and knowledge construction processes in real settings through decision analysis and collaborative value modelling" of the team led by Prof. Mónica Oliveira had been one of the 3 finalists selected competing with other robust projects from renowned researchers in the area of decision analysis.

The Decision Analysis Practice Award is awarded jointly by the Decision Analysis Society and the Society of Decision Professionals (two scientific reference societies in the field of decision analysis) and annually distinguishes the best application of decision analysis.
