Students, teachers, and employees come together at S. Martinho BBQ

On November 13, marking the beginning of the second term of classes at Técnico, teachers, staff, and students from the Department of Engineering and Management's undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs gathered for a barbecue at the TagusPark campus.
The initiative - the first of its kind carried out by the department - was promoted by the current executive committee of DEG (chaired by Prof. Ana Póvoa), and the organization was made in close partnership with the Student Center for Engineering and Industrial Management (NEEGI). Between sun rays, grilled meat and sausages, roasted chestnuts, drinks, and music, the 80 participants were arriving, sharing smiles and talks, in an autumnal lunch
Professor Ana Póvoa says that "it was a moment of sharing and conviviality between the DEG teachers and students, which filled us with joy", thanking NEEGI "for making this meeting so special!"
In the end, the money raised from the registrations was given to NEEGI, which, through its department of social responsibility (NEEGICARES), will donate to the association "Just a Change." This will ensure that our students, through collaboration with non-profit associations, can have enriching experiences of volunteering and soft skills development.
