DEG Makes it simple | with João Almeida
With the delivery of the dissertation for discussion, October 31st represents, for many students, the latest station of their Master’s cycle. Those who work at the Instituto Superior Técnico know that scheduling the thesis defenses can be challenging, but it does not have to be "like getting blood out of a stone."
In a very recent open-access study, authored by João Almeida, Professor Daniel Santos, Professor José Rui Figueira, and Professor Alexandre Francisco, it is being proposed a mathematical model that aims to streamline the entire process, matching the agendas of the jury chair-person, advisors, arguers, and students.
João Almeida, first author and PhD student at DEG, agreed to explain this model and the clear advantages of its implementation in a 1-minute video.
