Brief description of the research work: “Technology-driven Innovation with Sustainable Social Impact" proposes to explore how technology-driven innovation for social good ('tech4good') can effectively support the UN 2030 SDGs. It addresses the current fragmentation in academic theory that hinders policy-making and project implementation for underserved communities and aims to make several contributions and implications for scholars, companies and policymakers, namely by: (i) developing a conceptual framework for Socio-Tech Entrepreneurship to guide future research; (ii) proposing a roadmap to help ventures create innovative, impactful, and sustainable business models; and (iii) offering insights into how EU innovation policies shape Deep Tech ecosystems in transitional economies like Portugal, aiming to strengthen local and regional innovation networks.
