Ana Vieira is one of the newest members of the Department of Engineering and Management, joining the department after her research work in projects such as IMPACT HTA and MEDI-VALUE, developed at the Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico (CEG-IST) in partnership with the London School of Economics and Political Science, INFARMED, and leading hospitals in Portugal. Her research focuses on designing social processes to support the development of assessment models involving multiple stakeholders. She is currently engaged in creating new web-based platforms and technologies (particularly implementing the Delphi method) to foster stakeholder collaboration in model development, consensus-building, and learning. Her work spans public and private organisations, mainly in the fields of public health and health systems. Ana Vieira will be joining the teaching staff in the area of decision sciences and will also contribute to courses such as Health Systems, Value Measurement in Health, and Regulation of Medicines and Medical Devices.
