The Department of Engineering and Management (DEG) at Instituto Superior Técnico was recently highlighted on CNN INOVAÇÃO, a programme broadcast by CNN Portugal, featuring two projects developed by research teams within the department. This episode – the third dedicated to Técnico – aired on 23 and 24 November and is also available on the CNN Player platform.

The feature showcases the dynamic and multidisciplinary nature of DEG, a young department that brings together engineering and management expertise to address complex challenges with significant economic and societal impact. It also underscores the strong female representation within the department, presenting projects led by Técnico faculty members Ana Paula Póvoa, Mónica Oliveira, and Susana Relvas, who opened their laboratories and shared insights into their ongoing work.

The preparation of the episode involved the collaboration of several members of the DEG community, including Ana Vieira, whose contribution was essential to the success of the initiative, and Joana Barosa, who supported the on-site coordination.
