On 4 April, Hugo Castro Silva, a professor at DEG and a researcher at CEGIST, was invited to appear as a guest commentator on RTP’s renowned programme ‘O Segredo do Algoritmo’.

This segment of episode 8 (season 2) examines the challenge posed by Artificial Intelligence to the labour market and the professions that, with the emergence of new technologies and automation, are under threat. The dismissal of thousands of people and their replacement by AI represents a challenge that must be taken into account in the future.
