As an invited assistant professor since 2019, Sara Costa now integrates the Department of Engineering and Management as an Assistant Professor, maintaining her connection to CEGIST as a researcher.

Sara Costa developed multicriteria methods of decision support techniques to address classification issues involving nominal categories. These methods were implemented in DecSpace – an online platform with various available methods. Sara Costa demonstrated their applicability through three studies, collaborating with several experts. Other multicriteria methods have also been investigated.

"Joining the teaching career represents for me a challenge that I embrace with great enthusiasm, as it offers me the opportunity to conduct innovative and significant research, and to positively impact the lives of students, contributing to a greater success of the institution", says Sara Costa regarding her integration in the teaching career.
